Spent a very nice Mother's Day with the ladies in my family - my sis and my Mum. Went for yummy "tunch" at Aquamarine followed by lots of shopping. We finished eating at about 3pm and started to walk around. Still remember last time my Mum will always like to spend time in the electrical appliance dept and my sis and I will be very "xian". Can't imagine that I've joined her league as well now! I was telling my Mum which rice cooker I bought, which induction cooker I bought and also rattling on that induction cooker is better! So now my sis is the odd one out! keke
Wise choice that my Dad did not join us, he probably will not be able to tahan the shopping. In fact, me and my sis also lost to my Mum. We ended up sitting at Indinine Cafe resting our legs while my Mum was asking have we rested enough! Amazing! Anyway, we managed to coax her into just chit chatting with us until time is up for us to watch Phantom. Shopping trip to be continued another day. :p
Phantom is much more enjoyable this time, probably cos we got better seats this time round. The last time I was stuck at one corner with "restricted view" even though it was Cat 1 tix. This time I could see the whole show a lot better! I also prefer the "Christine" this time round. She is more expressive and I can feel the emotions through her vocals a lot more as well. Brad Little is as charming as the first time I watched him, in fact better. How I wish I can watch the last show (which was our intention but the organisers extended the show yet another week!) Anyway, this is an advanced birthday treat from my darling sister. Thanks mei mei... muak muak! :D

Household chores blues
I spoilt more clothes when washing clothes last nite!! :( Dumped everything in the machine to wash only to find out 7 of my tops are stained with black dye!! This brings total count of damaged clothes to about 11pcs!! Sigh... seems like I'm really not very domestic man! This is going to be a expensive lesson.
Lesson 1: Be careful of colored ribbons of unknown materials, damage - 1 top. Lesson 2: Always wash white/light colored clothes separately from others, damage - 3 white tops.
Lesson 3: Never be lazy and mix black and colors together and watch out for new clothes that has not been washed before, damage - 7 colored tops.
Luckily, none of the damaged clothes are the super expensive/nice clothes. The culprit is a brand new black tube top. My sis gave me a tip, all new clothes wash separately for first time to make sure the colors don't run.... good tip, must put in effort to follow. :p
Later going for another shopping trip. Need to confirm our lights today. There are so many things to shop for and so much preparation to do for the house. Last week we shopped 2 hrs plus in 1 shop and still cannot decide. Din know that just lighting in the house can amount up to thousands of $$!! :O Just feels like so much things to do with so little time! Jia you jia you! Must put the focus on end result - our nice comfy loft that we can call our own! =)

Phantom-see u tonite!!
Today is the opening of Phantom of the Opera! So exciting! The last time I watched this musical was in the 90s! It has been a really long time! Still remember Sarah Brightman was playing Christine then. So looking forward to it!! Time for more souvenirs!! :p Now totally no mood to work. keke

Busy or lazy!!?? Ha
My sis just sent email to me with subject head: "bianz! Still collecting keys!" Ha ha! Her second reminder that I have not updated my blog. In fact she still ask me to shut down my blog in her earlier email!! Yes yes, it's been a while since I collected my keys, in fact it has been more than a month since I collected my keys on 5 Feb and I have not blogged anything about it!! A lot of things to do leh, CNY, POV, finding renovation contractor etc etc...ha... excuses....
So here's a summary of what has been happening so far!
CNY: 1st CNY with hubby, 1st time giving out Ang Paos, 1st CNY belonging to a different entity, our own entity. We had more gatherings with friends than visiting relatives though. Overall, it has been really fun and tiring.
POV: Fantastic experience! Very different from the seminars I've attended before. Gave me a new perspective of true love, joy, bliss and gratitude. It also strengthened the bond JQ and I have. Made me really appreciate what we have going and really thankful towards WBG for such a great hubby! JQ recently said something to me that really touches my heart. "If not for WBG, there won't be this man here today standing before you who is worthy of having you." *heart melt*
2nd POV: Yet another amazing experience! Saw a different side of the people I truly respect from the bottom of my heart! Also a time of revelation, of acceptance and forgiveness. POV is a course that I really don't know how to describe. There is no right words that can be used to describe it. The best way to say it is GO EXPERIENCE IT!
Our new place: Finally getting somewhere! A clearer direction from our feng shui master, managed to find a contractor we can work well with, applied for renovation permit with HDB, and starting work next week! Hoping to move in by end Apr or May!
AOB: We thinking of a Golden Piglet in Jan 08. See if can start factory production in Apr. But that means NO honeymoon for us! :( See how things go lah. Anyway, now is not the time to enjoy yet, not with the financial liability of a renovation loan on our back. It just clashes with our financial mindset. Will aim to build asset first, will have to work on Junior Seth and Junior Evelyn baby fund and educational fund first... keke

Separation Anxiety
I have been hearing a lot of this since a lot of my friends' babies has reached this phase. I'm not an expert here but from what I observe so far, it's the sense of insecurity when toddlers are separated from their loved ones and in some cases will lead to non-stop wailing. It could even become a serious psychological condition if it's not handled well. I've realised that even adults can suffer from it. JQ has a very cute cheeky adorable niece who is almost 2 years old now. As she is the first baby in the family, all of us really dotes on her. Most family days will be spent going to places that the baby and all of us will enjoy, like going to parks with playgrounds, beach, or just dinner or mahjong at home. Whichever the activity is, a lot of attention will be on the baby as most of us sees her only once or twice a week and will spend the quality time playing with her, esp JQ and Nance. Her caregiver is her grandma, aka my MIL. She takes care of baby Enya during the day and will come home when the parents are back. As this is her first grandchild, she definitely loves her a lot as well. The baby used to be quite sticky with Ah Ma and will always look for her. However recently, realised that there has been a trend that Enya will recognise playing companions, so everytime when we go out, or when the whole family gets together, she does not want Ah Ma anymore, as in don't want her to carry, won't look for her to play. Preference will always be JQ or Nance. Can totally feel her "sense of insecurity" when that happens. Wonder if this is the phase that most grandparents will go through... hmmm... ??!?

Short stay at home sweet home!
Will be staying at my parents' place these few days cos my hubby is on reservist. Decided to make use of this chance to take a break from the daily long distance travelling since my hubby won't be around, or rather will be home late almost everyday. It feels really nice to be home... reaching home by 7pm if I head straight home from work (will probably be 830 if I stay at woodlands, gasp!), smelling and guessing what my Mum is cooking while opening the door, eating piping hot home cooked yummy delicious food, chatting and "bicker" with my sister, yan o with my mother, talking late into the night with my sister, waking up at 730 and still can snooze (instead of catching the bus by 730am if I'm at woodlands)... etc etc. The only con is not having darling dearest by my side I guess... :p Really glad I'm moving back to Marine Parade in 2 months time, more home cooked food to come! Yum Yum! =) must make sure my new place is ready ASAP! =) Shall aim to move by Mid March.
Seriously, before Woodlands, never thought much about traffic jams, trying to get up crowded buses or trains and feeling lazy to go anywhere. Now I really salute those who have to commute daily under such conditions. No wonder there are people who stick to their own neighbourhood and hardly gets out, probably the reason why biz at heartland malls are thriving. :)

We have ROMed for almost a year!
Can't believe it. We have been married for 11 months! Seriously don't feel like it. Still feels like we are still dating and in that honeymoon stage. Anyway, we celebrated our 11 mths ROM anniversary at Annalakshmi last nite. Had a wonderful spread of yummy Indian cuisine. Btw, they have moved from Excelsior Hotel to Chinatown Point. Had a hard time finding them initially. I still prefer their previous location though, more cosy. Anyhow, the food still tastes damn good. Those interested can check out http://www.annalakshmi.com.sg/.

Now, where do I start??!!
Did not realise it's been so long since I blogged! Had the intention to post progress of my wedding prep, had the intention to post my wedding and our little getaway after that, but I realised that I have NO TIME! It's amazing how so much things can crop up at the last min and you are just fighting that battle to be in time for the wedding and suddenly, everything's over. Then you use that nice little 'retreat' to catch up on your sleep and all the buzz, and when you come back, you realise it's Xmas and all the X'mas shopping is not done. And you are just caught up in that festive mood with absolutely no mood to work. At the same time you are drowning in the bliss of marriage life, waking up with your loved one by your side, the morning wake up kisses and the good nite kisses and coping with the cons of staying away from your family and the cons of staying in that faraway town called Woodlands. Guess that is the summary of my life since Nov till now, haha. Anyway, for a glimpse of my wedding, please go to http://triciachangwy.multiply.com/photos/album/25 and http://triciachangwy.multiply.com/photos/album/26. These were taken by my funky good friend. Have not got down to organizing all the photos and videos of the actual day yet, but these are some nice collages done by Pauline.

Yummy yummy, will I get to eat it??!!
Was looking at PETA website when I chanced upon this spokesperson saying so much of this tofurky turkey, how delicious it is that I had to find out where to get it. When I saw what was offered on http://www.tofurky.com, I was like drooling the whole time . The franks, the sausages, the deli slices all looks so delicious... a very nice alternative to the usual kind of vegetarian food we have here. Bascially, the sandwiches here do not have such variety. They even have vegan turkey and I was really thrilled by that, meaning we still can have a vegetarian Xmas feast with the "authentic" Xmas food at the same time! The best thing is they claim that their sausages will sizzle on the grill! That is almost impossible with the local sausages here. The sausages here are skinny but theirs is really chunky! But when I tried to order online, I realised that they only offer it in the US, and the prices are really steep too! For Deli slices, we are looking at USD$80+++! Anyway, sent an email to them to check if they are offering it in Asia. Hope they will get back to me soon. :p Just hope the market here gets big enough for them to lauch it here as well...:p

Bad recovery!
I have juiced many times before, nothing ever happened, only the usual benefits of detoxing, but this time was really different, i had very bad recovery symptons (According to Dr Benard Jensen: Illness does not occur without cause. Most if not all illnesses, result through a build-up of toxins. The body cells have a memory of past illnesses and retracing is the process of re-activating, and working through these illnesses. When a disease isn't worked through properly at the time, an element of latency or repression occurs eventually leading to loss of vitality, a sub-standard state of health and eventually diseases of a more insidious nature. Underlying causes of disease must be discovered and removed or treated before a person can recover completely from illness. Symptoms express the body's attempt to heal, but are not the cause of disease and therefore, should not be merely suppressed by treatment). On my 4th day of juicing, early in the morning, I woke up at 7am and vomitted gastric acid out. I was thinking to myself, good, at least it's purging the acid from my body! I quickly took IF and VP to neutralise the acid in my body, and guess what? I vomitted out again along with my precious product along with some acid! I was also feeling very giddy the whole time. Woke my hubby up and told him. He quickly made some warm Enhancer for me, and again I puked. JQ then quickly went out to buy carrots and green apples from the market despite the rain and juiced for me. Accordingly, the puking might be due to excessive acid in stomach, liver problem (might be a signal as I perpetually have dark eye circles), indigestion and stomach problem. The giddiness might have something to do with low blood pressure. He thought that the fruit juice might help in giving some "sweet" signals to my brain. I was also feeling feverish. I was resting the whole time and after the juice, i did feel a little better. JQ had an appointment at Orchard and I followed him, thought it might be a good idea to take a walk instead of being cooped up at home. Throughout the 2hrs of their wedding brothers discussion, I went to the toilet to puke like 6 times. Had to go back early and our plans to take photos of the X'mas lighting was also foiled. Sigh...When I got home, i headed straight to bed and slept all the way through till morning.
Lucky for me, i felt a lot better the next day, just felt like my head is super heavy... and now I'm absolutely fine! :) I persevered on and today is already the second last day of my detox program! Yippee! Still trying to figure out what went wrong causing so much acid in my stomach, probably using distilled water instead of "good water" was a mistake (Did you know distilled water is acidic in nature), or I had been eating unhealthily last few months . Guess I will have to go back to transporting water to and fro liao. :( Anyway also have to thank my loving hubby who has been nursing me the whole time, wonder what will I do without him...=) The good thing that came out of this: Purged all the acid from my body and lost like 4kg in the process... =)

Gym member again...
Recently rejoined the gym again. I joined Planet Fitness again after "disappearing" for 2+ years. One main reason is to get myself exercising again, after realising that my fitness level is going downhill. Still believe that exercise is a very important part of life. I also miss those days of going through the torturous, yet motivating kind of classes like Daniel's class and all the spinning classes. You really feel damn shiok after completing those classes after being pushed to your limit by the instructors. Guess now it's a matter of disciplining myself to go at least twice a week, together with my hubby... haha =) Hope to get toned abs, butt and thighs soon, JIT for my wedding...keke

We got our FLAT
So exciting! After so many viewings, we finally chose a flat that we like! This is the first time I'm making such a huge purchase... $300++K! Most importantly, this puts an end to our search. Now we can focus on more important stuff. Even though we not getting a lot of sea view, it's really windy and we have a good feel of the unit. Even the fengshui master says it's a good unit, suitable for us! So looking forward to getting keys soon and start on a new journey with my darling and staying in our little abode. :p

ADMIRER or STALKER??!!
Received a call from a weirdo today. There is this "Uncle" that has been calling me for the past few years asking me to go out for lunch with him. He looks like a typical ok educated man in his forties and he pretty much looked harmless to me. I had lunch with him probably twice and he actually asked me to visit his family! OMG! Think that happened probably more than 3 years ago! Since then, I knew better than to entertain his calls and lunch requests, so everytime he calls, I will reply with a mono tone "I'm not free, busy" and I will hang up the phone. He stopped calling for a while and recently he started calling again. This time he said he got impt things to discuss with him that is inconvenient to discuss over the phone. Not willing to go at all, I asked him what is so impt. His reply was scary, freaky and shocking! He said he needs to discuss abt us, our future! OMG! I told him I'm married (btw I told him this few years ago to get him off my back) and he still can ask me am I sure? Am I just shy? Why I never tell him earlier after he has been calling me all these years! I nearly freaked out. Trica says he is a serious stalker! Better be careful around my office area in future. What a thing to happen to me! :(

Eczema attack!
Help, I'm struck with a sudden eczema attack! It's on my neck, on my arm, a tiny spot on my waist and thigh! This is one of the worse attacks I had, usu it will be on my neck OR arm OR body. This time its on my neck AND arm AND body. My eczema will surface for a few reasons:
1. Trigger from by mozzie bites
2. Eating too much junk food (tidbits)
3. Recovery from Indinine
4. Detox (a sign of dispurging toxic from my body)
Think this time it's all of the above. I had more than 10 mozzie 'kisses" from Tioman trip, i ate a lot of tidbits on this trip, I took a lot of Indinine as I wanted to recover from my flu. This is definitely a sign of dispurging toxic from my highly acidic body. Maybe lack of proper rest also triggered this time. I remember on the day I came back from Tioman (started travelling at 10am), I reach SG at 5+, went for dinner at Miao Yi at 6+ til 8pm, then rushed for a gathering at Shaw, followed by a visit to Marco's place to see his wedding photos and only reached home at 12+ midnite. I only remembered I badly needed a shower, the next thing I know after I showered, my eczema popped out! Think its high time I go on detox programme soon before its too near my wedding. I will want to get rid of those ugly eczema marks esp those on my neck. Must jio hubby liao, will love to see the six pack on him on our wedding day. Hear that darling, it's a BIG HINT to you! muahaha. :)

Updates on my little get-away
Just came back from snorkelling trip at Tioman with my sister. Had a really good time, despite the fact that I was down with a little flu. Lucky snorkelling requires us to breathe through the mouth, not nose. =) The travellling sucks though, took us 6 hrs to get there and 7 hrs to get back to SG. Compared to the last time I went, it was only 4hrs ferry ride frm Tanah Merah Ferry terminal. Too bad the ferry operator went bust. Anyhow, when we reached Tioman, the first thing we did was to take a power nap. Really tired from all the travelling. I still "gei kian" take motion sickness pill, really konked out by the drowsiness effect. We went to Rengis and Marine Park on the first day. Thanks to our guide Ah On, we managed to see cuttlefish, needlefish, baracuda and lots of corals. In the afternoon, we went out on another snorkelling trip just outside Paya Beach. The marine life is really beautiful. Lucky I chose Paya Beach Resort this time. Berjaya will have better accomodation but definitely not so good for snorkelling. On the last day I even went for a 2.5 hr spa. Got standard one leh, really quite shiok, but I went snorkelling straight after, so the spa kind of wasted. Quite a fruitful trip, took a lot of photos (will post some after I organise them), made some friends, and my sis managed to snorkel without life jacket. Not bad for someone who can't really swim. =) But I still can't skin dive. Told JQ and he was so surprised. He said you just dive in lor. Easy for a "sinker" but I am the kind tt tends to float mah...:( so unless got pple pull me down, if not I can't make it down at all. The food was surprisingly nice. They catered vegetarian for both of us and in place of the dinner buffet, we had soup, 2 or 3 dishes and rice. Their ala carte menu has 1 whole page of vegetarian cusine and taste quite good too! In summary, it was a good break, great place, great company, good food, good spa and I'm looking forward to coming back again. Of cos Redang will be better but it's really too far out liao. :0 And between Berjaya and Paya, I will definitely choose Paya over 5-star Berjaya. =)

My "crazy" friend at work
For the past 1 year or so, it's been a lot easier at work emotionally. A portion definitely because the workload that has been piled on me since an ex-colleague left has been lifted, but a larger portion because I have a good companion at work. My new friend is the same age and gender as me, and most importantly, we have a lot of things in common. We seem to think similarly and we just have the same frequency. Quite freaky one leh, in many incidents we will blurt out the same words together and sometimes we just know what is on each other's mind. Not to mention, we are quite crazy together. We will play catching in office, disturb each other, go toilet together, indulge in snacks/chocolate together, confide in each other and engage ourselves in those silly spates of giggles, so you can sometimes catch some whispers and then giggles/laughter from our "lorong"! One example of our nonense together: Each one of us are given a key to access the femle toilet. She lost hers long ago so she will always borrow mine. Yesterday, she "lost" my key as well, so I went to duplicate 2 more keys after work. Today in office while chatting, she found the key hanging on my umbrella. She purposely hide it there yesterday so that I will not find the key, but she so blur until she forgot she hid the key there! We even went on a mini serach for the key yesterday! OMG! So now we have 3 keys... Will definitely post her photo soon so you can help me konk her head when u see her ok? keke

My DHS gang

Nearly laughed my ass off when I saw this photo. Not at how geeky we looked but at how Lingshan expertly shaded off the pple not involved in our group! My ex bf, and a girl who used to be in our cliche but later on left for some reason, was shaded off. Way to go girl! Must learn some tips from you next time! She actually implanted Andrew's head onto Alfred's body. Will post this picture another time! Keke...
