Yummy yummy, will I get to eat it??!!

Was looking at PETA website when I chanced upon this spokesperson saying so much of this tofurky turkey, how delicious it is that I had to find out where to get it. When I saw what was offered on http://www.tofurky.com, I was like drooling the whole time . The franks, the sausages, the deli slices all looks so delicious... a very nice alternative to the usual kind of vegetarian food we have here. Bascially, the sandwiches here do not have such variety. They even have vegan turkey and I was really thrilled by that, meaning we still can have a vegetarian Xmas feast with the "authentic" Xmas food at the same time! The best thing is they claim that their sausages will sizzle on the grill! That is almost impossible with the local sausages here. The sausages here are skinny but theirs is really chunky! But when I tried to order online, I realised that they only offer it in the US, and the prices are really steep too! For Deli slices, we are looking at USD$80+++! Anyway, sent an email to them to check if they are offering it in Asia. Hope they will get back to me soon. :p Just hope the market here gets big enough for them to lauch it here as well...:p

Bad recovery!

I have juiced many times before, nothing ever happened, only the usual benefits of detoxing, but this time was really different, i had very bad recovery symptons (According to Dr Benard Jensen: Illness does not occur without cause. Most if not all illnesses, result through a build-up of toxins. The body cells have a memory of past illnesses and retracing is the process of re-activating, and working through these illnesses. When a disease isn't worked through properly at the time, an element of latency or repression occurs eventually leading to loss of vitality, a sub-standard state of health and eventually diseases of a more insidious nature. Underlying causes of disease must be discovered and removed or treated before a person can recover completely from illness. Symptoms express the body's attempt to heal, but are not the cause of disease and therefore, should not be merely suppressed by treatment). On my 4th day of juicing, early in the morning, I woke up at 7am and vomitted gastric acid out. I was thinking to myself, good, at least it's purging the acid from my body! I quickly took IF and VP to neutralise the acid in my body, and guess what? I vomitted out again along with my precious product along with some acid! I was also feeling very giddy the whole time. Woke my hubby up and told him. He quickly made some warm Enhancer for me, and again I puked. JQ then quickly went out to buy carrots and green apples from the market despite the rain and juiced for me. Accordingly, the puking might be due to excessive acid in stomach, liver problem (might be a signal as I perpetually have dark eye circles), indigestion and stomach problem. The giddiness might have something to do with low blood pressure. He thought that the fruit juice might help in giving some "sweet" signals to my brain. I was also feeling feverish. I was resting the whole time and after the juice, i did feel a little better. JQ had an appointment at Orchard and I followed him, thought it might be a good idea to take a walk instead of being cooped up at home. Throughout the 2hrs of their wedding brothers discussion, I went to the toilet to puke like 6 times. Had to go back early and our plans to take photos of the X'mas lighting was also foiled. Sigh...When I got home, i headed straight to bed and slept all the way through till morning.

Lucky for me, i felt a lot better the next day, just felt like my head is super heavy... and now I'm absolutely fine! :) I persevered on and today is already the second last day of my detox program! Yippee! Still trying to figure out what went wrong causing so much acid in my stomach, probably using distilled water instead of "good water" was a mistake (Did you know distilled water is acidic in nature), or I had been eating unhealthily last few months . Guess I will have to go back to transporting water to and fro liao. :( Anyway also have to thank my loving hubby who has been nursing me the whole time, wonder what will I do without him...=) The good thing that came out of this: Purged all the acid from my body and lost like 4kg in the process... =)

Gym member again...

Recently rejoined the gym again. I joined Planet Fitness again after "disappearing" for 2+ years. One main reason is to get myself exercising again, after realising that my fitness level is going downhill. Still believe that exercise is a very important part of life. I also miss those days of going through the torturous, yet motivating kind of classes like Daniel's class and all the spinning classes. You really feel damn shiok after completing those classes after being pushed to your limit by the instructors. Guess now it's a matter of disciplining myself to go at least twice a week, together with my hubby... haha =) Hope to get toned abs, butt and thighs soon, JIT for my wedding...keke

We got our FLAT

So exciting! After so many viewings, we finally chose a flat that we like! This is the first time I'm making such a huge purchase... $300++K! Most importantly, this puts an end to our search. Now we can focus on more important stuff. Even though we not getting a lot of sea view, it's really windy and we have a good feel of the unit. Even the fengshui master says it's a good unit, suitable for us! So looking forward to getting keys soon and start on a new journey with my darling and staying in our little abode. :p

ADMIRER or STALKER??!!

Received a call from a weirdo today. There is this "Uncle" that has been calling me for the past few years asking me to go out for lunch with him. He looks like a typical ok educated man in his forties and he pretty much looked harmless to me. I had lunch with him probably twice and he actually asked me to visit his family! OMG! Think that happened probably more than 3 years ago! Since then, I knew better than to entertain his calls and lunch requests, so everytime he calls, I will reply with a mono tone "I'm not free, busy" and I will hang up the phone. He stopped calling for a while and recently he started calling again. This time he said he got impt things to discuss with him that is inconvenient to discuss over the phone. Not willing to go at all, I asked him what is so impt. His reply was scary, freaky and shocking! He said he needs to discuss abt us, our future! OMG! I told him I'm married (btw I told him this few years ago to get him off my back) and he still can ask me am I sure? Am I just shy? Why I never tell him earlier after he has been calling me all these years! I nearly freaked out. Trica says he is a serious stalker! Better be careful around my office area in future. What a thing to happen to me! :(

Eczema attack!

Help, I'm struck with a sudden eczema attack! It's on my neck, on my arm, a tiny spot on my waist and thigh! This is one of the worse attacks I had, usu it will be on my neck OR arm OR body. This time its on my neck AND arm AND body. My eczema will surface for a few reasons:

1. Trigger from by mozzie bites
2. Eating too much junk food (tidbits)
3. Recovery from Indinine
4. Detox (a sign of dispurging toxic from my body)

Think this time it's all of the above. I had more than 10 mozzie 'kisses" from Tioman trip, i ate a lot of tidbits on this trip, I took a lot of Indinine as I wanted to recover from my flu. This is definitely a sign of dispurging toxic from my highly acidic body. Maybe lack of proper rest also triggered this time. I remember on the day I came back from Tioman (started travelling at 10am), I reach SG at 5+, went for dinner at Miao Yi at 6+ til 8pm, then rushed for a gathering at Shaw, followed by a visit to Marco's place to see his wedding photos and only reached home at 12+ midnite. I only remembered I badly needed a shower, the next thing I know after I showered, my eczema popped out! Think its high time I go on detox programme soon before its too near my wedding. I will want to get rid of those ugly eczema marks esp those on my neck. Must jio hubby liao, will love to see the six pack on him on our wedding day. Hear that darling, it's a BIG HINT to you! muahaha. :)

Updates on my little get-away

Just came back from snorkelling trip at Tioman with my sister. Had a really good time, despite the fact that I was down with a little flu. Lucky snorkelling requires us to breathe through the mouth, not nose. =) The travellling sucks though, took us 6 hrs to get there and 7 hrs to get back to SG. Compared to the last time I went, it was only 4hrs ferry ride frm Tanah Merah Ferry terminal. Too bad the ferry operator went bust. Anyhow, when we reached Tioman, the first thing we did was to take a power nap. Really tired from all the travelling. I still "gei kian" take motion sickness pill, really konked out by the drowsiness effect. We went to Rengis and Marine Park on the first day. Thanks to our guide Ah On, we managed to see cuttlefish, needlefish, baracuda and lots of corals. In the afternoon, we went out on another snorkelling trip just outside Paya Beach. The marine life is really beautiful. Lucky I chose Paya Beach Resort this time. Berjaya will have better accomodation but definitely not so good for snorkelling. On the last day I even went for a 2.5 hr spa. Got standard one leh, really quite shiok, but I went snorkelling straight after, so the spa kind of wasted. Quite a fruitful trip, took a lot of photos (will post some after I organise them), made some friends, and my sis managed to snorkel without life jacket. Not bad for someone who can't really swim. =) But I still can't skin dive. Told JQ and he was so surprised. He said you just dive in lor. Easy for a "sinker" but I am the kind tt tends to float mah...:( so unless got pple pull me down, if not I can't make it down at all. The food was surprisingly nice. They catered vegetarian for both of us and in place of the dinner buffet, we had soup, 2 or 3 dishes and rice. Their ala carte menu has 1 whole page of vegetarian cusine and taste quite good too! In summary, it was a good break, great place, great company, good food, good spa and I'm looking forward to coming back again. Of cos Redang will be better but it's really too far out liao. :0 And between Berjaya and Paya, I will definitely choose Paya over 5-star Berjaya. =)

My "crazy" friend at work

For the past 1 year or so, it's been a lot easier at work emotionally. A portion definitely because the workload that has been piled on me since an ex-colleague left has been lifted, but a larger portion because I have a good companion at work. My new friend is the same age and gender as me, and most importantly, we have a lot of things in common. We seem to think similarly and we just have the same frequency. Quite freaky one leh, in many incidents we will blurt out the same words together and sometimes we just know what is on each other's mind. Not to mention, we are quite crazy together. We will play catching in office, disturb each other, go toilet together, indulge in snacks/chocolate together, confide in each other and engage ourselves in those silly spates of giggles, so you can sometimes catch some whispers and then giggles/laughter from our "lorong"! One example of our nonense together: Each one of us are given a key to access the femle toilet. She lost hers long ago so she will always borrow mine. Yesterday, she "lost" my key as well, so I went to duplicate 2 more keys after work. Today in office while chatting, she found the key hanging on my umbrella. She purposely hide it there yesterday so that I will not find the key, but she so blur until she forgot she hid the key there! We even went on a mini serach for the key yesterday! OMG! So now we have 3 keys... Will definitely post her photo soon so you can help me konk her head when u see her ok? keke

My DHS gang

Nearly laughed my ass off when I saw this photo. Not at how geeky we looked but at how Lingshan expertly shaded off the pple not involved in our group! My ex bf, and a girl who used to be in our cliche but later on left for some reason, was shaded off. Way to go girl! Must learn some tips from you next time! She actually implanted Andrew's head onto Alfred's body. Will post this picture another time! Keke...

We are selling our little baby

After a few weeks of advertising, we are finally selling our car. Not a big thing for me, cos I'm quite used to public transport and definitely not a car lover. However, I tink it will definitely affect my darling. His "baby" (I'm his No 1 baby, his car is No. 2) has been with us for 1 year plus and this car is his dream car. Might be an old car but still his dream car. Many reasons for selling his baby, high maintenance, consumes petrol like drinking water and most importantly, it's really not making financial sense to be hanging on to this car with the upcoming new house etc.

I still remember those days before we had the car though, it was really fun and memorable. My Mum is totally against me riding, even though I grew up sitting in Pa Pa's Yamaha motorbike. She says it's very dangerous. So when we started going out, he always had to park further from my home where he will walk me up and I will go meet him somewhere where it's out of sight from my Mum's eyes. Sometimes we get "caught" and we will have to pretend that we will go out separately. There was this once when he sprained his ankle very badly and had to be on crutches. He still rode during that time with min damage to his already sprained ankle and I will sit behind him on his bike holding the crutches while he rides, quite a sight rite? But still this can't last long and in order to show his sincerity about taking care of me for the rest of his life, he got this car. Kinda sweet hor... :p anyway, it will be back to motorbike soon but I believe it will be temporary. Once we are more or less settled down in our new life together, we shd be able to allocate budget for a new car, so in the meantime, juz hang in there darling ok? :p

A different Mid-Autumn Festival

My darling was down with headache due to the haze, said he is going to rest at home first before meeting me. I met my frd for dinner till about 9 plus and called my darling again. He is still having bad headache. :( I was quite disappointed to hear that, cos I have not seen him for 1 whole week and was really looking forward to spending a nice nite with him at East Coast, but again, it will be dangerous for him to ride all the way from Woodlands to East Coast with a pounding headache. :( So I told him to rest at home and will call him when I reach home. When I reach home, I called him to check on him. While chatting, he suddenly said, I have a surprise for you, open the door... I was so surprised to see him standing at the door with chocolate and Ben & Jerry ice cream! In the end we still had a good time at East Coast, despite the haze, despite his headache. He is really the sweetest guy on earth...Love you darling!! You are the BEST! :)

My hubby is out!!

Yippee, my hubby is out today!! HAHA, i make it sound like he just released from jail! keke... He is finally out from reservist. He was stuck in a 4 days out field exercise, meaning I have not seen him for 4 days already... quite long hor... :( so used to seeing him everyday. Anyway, he is out just in time to celebrate mid-autumn festival with me. Typically, we will go to East Coast Park, each carry a lantern in our hands and take a stroll along the beach. We will also play with those fireworks wannabe sparklers and just have a good time chatting with each other. This year should be the same I guess. My colleagues actually commented that this was childish, but well, its the quality time spent together that matters right? :p It takes effort to continue this kind of tradition as well... haha. Anyway, gotta go meet my hubby liao, may everyone have a enjoyable Mid-autumn festival this year. :)

My first experience with Field Rations!

Darling dearest managed to book out late last night! Being the "sticky" me, I spent the night at his place to make up for lost time. :) He took some field rations back as substitute for dinner and I'm so amazed by the variations nowadays! Him being a vegetarian, they actually rationed out vegetarian packs to him, and he got pasta with mock chicken and glutinious rice. They even have dessert which is sweet corn with something. They are packed in these green vacuum bags and you are supposed to put the pack in boiling water for a few min. Then you just open the package and there you have it... your dinner! The food actually taste quite ok with sufficient home seasoning. They even have different sets of menus, guess to ensure that they don't get too sick of the food. Welfare not bad lah, considering how much shit they have to go thru in the field... To all the soldiers, regulars, officers, ns men out there, jia you orh! =)

My darling dearest is in RESERVIST!

So sad, my hubby has been called in for RESERVIST and this is one of those high key kind, meaning it will be min 2 weeks! Tis time is prob the longest so far, and the worse thing is he is expecting a lot of night trainings and he will not be able to book out until Sat evening or Sun morning!! I seriously hope something might happen to the system and all night trainings will be cancelled! Mua haha, anybody got any ideas on how to make that happen? :p Never tried not seeing him for so long... so used to seeing him everyday liao.... just 1 or 2 days apart i will start missing him already...:( sigh....

My photo shoot...

Went for my photo shoot in Malaysia last week. We went to Kota Tinggi for nice nice waterfall shots. My mum-in-law and sis-in-law went with us as well as we were hoping that we could sit down and have a nice picnic. When we reached there, we realised that there was no time for such luxury at all. Once we reach there, we were busy shooting and posing away and poor them, had to follow us around. But, it was a good thing they went, cos Nance took 500 over photos for us!! Quite pro some more man. This is one of my fav!! Towards the end it rained, but all went well as we needed to get wet anyway...=)

Something eerie happened in the toilet while I was in the changing out of the gown though. My Mum-in-law and I was in the toilet and suddenly it turned pitch black, my Mum-in-law went out thinking it was some kind of prank, but apparently, the lights kind of went out on its own. Anyway she started talking, saying that we are just borrowing the toilet and to excuse us and the lights came on again. Lucky she was with me man, if not I really don't know what I will do...

Gown selection

Went to choose my gowns on Sat with my sis and hubby. Thought it will take a very long time, surprisingly we finished by 2pm. Just took us 2+ hrs. I still thought might take 5hrs and above, phew...

Anyway, my sis and I had a good time, and lucky for my hubby, my sis brought a book along, so he kept himself entertained the whole time. :p Lucky got my sis, made the selection process a lot easier... thank you mei mei!! Muak Muak! :) Btw, I'm still tempted to post your unglam but adorable shots, how ah? ;p Can i post without getting myself killed by you? *wink wink*

Excitement slowly brewing within

What a productive Sat! I found my make up artist (special thanks to Eddy) , my ideal venue for my wedding reception and my cutie darling Reagan to help open bridal car door... hmmm actually like very little done hor, wonder what else i missed, oops! Anyway, Sat was really busy... running around checking out places like Fisherman Village, East Coast Park (Ski 360 degrees) and Sea Sports Centre ( Tanah Merah). We finally decided on the last one cos we really like the rustic feel of the place and the closeness to nature. That venue just feels like "us"...=) Finally one load off our mind, now will be the more intricate details like decor, invitations blah blah blah.... but with the important things like venue and make up artist settled, I have that "sit on it" feeling again... hahaha...somebody knock on my head plsss...

But again, with these important things more or less settled, things seem to get a bit more interesting. At least now find myself looking forward to the preparation and even getting excited about it. Hmmm...I'm a typical bride after all...kekeke. Will be meeting Mich and Cindy soon to discuss more details... Mich is such a great help, and she's so creative. So lucky to have her to help.

Will be choosing my gown this Sat with my sis and hubby, hope there will be nice gowns to choose from, will try to take some pix and post it here ok? Stay tuned... =)

My lovely samsoon!!

Oh my god! It's been so long since I last posted anything! Didn't realise that it has been that long until my sis told me! So much for discipline... keke :)

anyway, have been busy with wedding preparations so really not much time to do other stuff. Preparing for a wedding can be such a hassle, really wonder why have to go through all these just for a one day affair. For this "一生一次", have to do so much coordination, make so many phone calls etc, wonder if it's really worth the effort. For your info, I'm not a typical bride to be, some friends have been telling me that it's a joy to be doing such things, yet I just can't get any joy out of it leh. *sigh* anyway, my preparation process comes in a burst pattern, meaning I will suddenly do some things, then sit on it for a while, then make some phone calls then sit on it for a while. High "I" style of doing things... muahaha...I'm getting married on the 9 Dec and let me tell you some of the important things I have not finalised yet...Venue and Make up artist, and I heard it's a super hot date! hehe

anyway, have been distracted from my preparation recently due to "samsoon"! Yes, you got it, the hot korean show showing now on Channel U! Guess this is the only show so far that has me so glued to the TV, staying up late, and so determined to watch episode after episode. The aftermath of completing this series includes surfing net for the Kim Sun A, Hyun Bin and Daniel Henney's photos and watching the series a second time (cos my mum and sis watching now and I watch with them again)! haha, my sis even said I 发疯了! keke (Btw, my hubby also watch with me orh, and he enjoyed the show as well.) Really enjoy the humour and the fairy tale like romance. In case you are interested, here are some links. =)

What is Health?

My 1st blog in my entire life and this is my 1st title... HEALTH...haha, prob will scare many off man... :p

Many years ago, I will probably think I am super healthy, cos I'm young and goes to the gym frequently. No major illness = Healthy. Sounds like the right thing to say rite? Probably whoever is reading this feels that is the definiton of health. In recent 3 years, I've seen, read and heard enough to know this is not entirely right.

Have u ever thought of how it feels like to age? Since young, I fear aging. I even thought of passing on at the age of 40 when I'm still in my prime. I want pple to remember the best part of me. *gasp* But now, I know aging has nothing to do with looking ugly, being a burden to family, being wheelchair bound like what I frequently see on TV, worrying about getting ill and sick, inability to do whatever I want. In fact, u can look good even when u are old, u can age graciously and u can do all the things u want to do, including travelling and have lotsa energy and vitality!! And the secret to this has nothing to do with consuming synethetic stuff like Intenze and all that crap! It has got everything to do with how well u balance yr body, the holistic approach! I learnt this from my mentor and what he says really makes sense. The fact is our human body is the most complex and has the most amazing self-healing power (Most books say that too by the way). Yet, most of us fail to leverage on that, instead pple tend to listen to doctors wholly and consume all the synthetic stuff that may do more harm to our body than benefit it!

Think about it, with the advanced technology now, shouldn't the human race be healthier in general? Shouldn't humans be reaping benefits from technology? So why are there more pple dying of illnesses each day? Why are more young pple suffering from old man's disease like diabetes, heart disease, gout (the list goes on...)? The discovery of Penicillin has not enabled the human race to be stronger, we are still vulnerable to a host of attacks by other forms of bacteria, so shouldn't we take another approach towards HEALTH? Healthy = Heal + thy (Heal yourself)

Maybe, we are just too complacent with the happenings around us that we choose to compromise our standard of health.... maybe popping medicine is more convenient than healing oneself, maybe it is perceived as more normal to be sick than to be healthy... whichever the case, I truly hope things will change, I truly wish for 1 day, pple realise it's not normal to have heart problems, hormone imbalances, sinus, diabetes etc just because other pple also have it...I truly wish for 1 day, everyone will work towards their own health...
